Judith Selby, who was interviewed for the February & March issue of AHN News on Art & Alzheimer’s, writes in to say…

Connection“I am deeply grateful to the Arts and Healing Network for the opportunity to speak about art and Alzheimer's. My teaching is such an important part of my life. But, because I am so busy, I rarely have time to stop and reflect upon it. Your interview posed questions that helped me to consider and to articulate the “why” of what I do every day. I have been blessed with the job of the teacher. It is an honor to serve my students. They face extraordinary challenges and I am always inspired by their courage and good humor. It is my hope that our interview will encourage artists and others to consider teaching as a worthwhile career.  We need now, more than ever, people who are willing and able to address the special needs of our aging population.”
