Facilitating a cross-cultural and international conversation through art, this organization brings groups of youth and artists together to create a continual, ever-changing, international multi-media art project, which promotes personal understanding, global/cultural awareness, peace/nonviolence, and international communication. Through this work, Momentus: empowers youth to celebrate cultural heritage and social change through art; brings artists together to create collectively and to serve as mentors in their community; creates art (both in live performance and film) which embraces cultural difference and educates; and provides a safe and creative atmosphere for youth to express their ideas. Where boundaries are drawn, art has the power to cross them.
