My focus is on actions that are not categorically art and yet to me seem the most creative and exhilarating forms. "Moving Heaven and Earth," "Face It / Embrace Her," "...to make paper of his skin, ink of his blood" --these are some of the titles that I have been using recently. They each express that point at which something is done -- done in such a manner that it becomes extraordinary. Other titles such as "Reflections on War and Love: Act, Art of Peace," "Negotiating Table," "Memory in Place," and "Fabric of Appreciation" reflect a state or a place in which the commonplace becomes artful.
